Training staff to properly use disposable gloves is essential to maintaining hygiene and safety in the workplace, especially in healthcare, food service, and industrial environments

When disposable gloves are worn and removed incorrectly they can very easily cross-contaminate the wearer with the very hazards they sought to avoid coming into contact with, be it chemicals, bio-hazard material or pathogens!

The training objective is to ensure disposable gloves can be safely donned and removed without the outer ‘contaminated’ side coming into contact with the hands, skin or clothing of the wearer.

Learning how to safely don (put-on) and doff (take-off) disposable gloves in the correct, professional way (i.e. WHO Method) dramatically reduces the risk of cross-contamination.

A lightweight, budget pop-up disclosure box upgrade for our Mini Hygiene Training Kit range.

The Mini Showbox provides a convenient ‘low-cost’ table top ‘dark zone’ to view the remaining UV GERM particles. Perfect for training in brightly lit rooms, halls or communal areas which cannot be darkened sufficiently.

Glove Safety Training

Disposable, single-use gloves are used extensively throughout the healthcare sector and often thought of as a safe, convenient alternative to essential hand-hygiene practice!

The risk of cross-contamination from contaminated outer-surface to the skin or clothing of the wearer is very high.

This simply training method will help you teach the correct way (WHO method) of donning (putting on) and doffing (taking off) disposable gloves together with a visibly demonstration of what can happen if gloves are not used properly!

Before you provide Glove Hygiene Training…

Have trainees don a pair of gloves in their usual way…

wash & glow glove hygiene training kit

Dispense a small amount of UV GERM lotion onto the hands and rub over both hands and wrists.

Rub in the UV GERM training lotion into hands and wrists then place gloved hands under UV light to verify full coverage.

Remove and dispose of the gloves then place hands back under the UV light.

Gloves not removed (doffed) correctly will often leave trace cross-contamination on the hands or wrists!

In this example, a trainee removed their gloves incorrectly, picked them up to dispose of them and cross-contaminated their hand!

(a good example to use in training)

Now provide Glove Hygiene Training (as per our training guide) and repeat the above.

If they have learned to do it properly, they will be able to remove their gloves safely without cross-contaminating themselves!
