British made surface hygiene / cross-contamination training powder.

An ultra-fine, non-toxic, dust-like powder which simulates the cross-contamination characteristics of microbes for a more convincing demonstration. When exposed to UV light, the microscopic powder particles will fluoresce brightly in one of 3 colours. Using a different colour for each contamination source, clearly demonstrates how easily cross-contamination occurs and from whence it came.  Suitable for use in Hazmat and bio-hazard training too.

Available as: UV Green, UV Blue and UV Red

For best results, expose to UV light in a darkened environment.

How to use

Designed for use in Surface Hygiene Training and Cross-Contamination Simulations. This range of exceptionally bright Hygiene Training Powders, will reproduce the touch transmission characteristics of germs / microbes / contaminants. Dust / scatter sparingly and lightly onto handles, work surfaces, flooring, carpets or fabrics. Once applied this powder is virtually invisible to the eye (on most white / light surfaces) and being extremely fine, these harmless microscopic UV particles will then be transferred on contact.

Green is the brightest of the 3 colours, then blue then red.

When illuminated with a UV forensic torch or inside the Showbox Pro, the particles will fluoresce brightly, revealing their continued presence or the cross-contamination and its colour-coded source.

This product is easily removed using normally surface cleaning practice.  As such is suitable for demonstrating hygienic cleaning methods and visualising post cleaning inspection for compliance monitoring etc.

Suitable for use in Hazmat and bio-hazard training too.

Important Information

UV GERM Training Powder has a 24 month shelf life from the date of purchase.

Please Note:  This product is not suitable for outdoor use or in ‘wet’ area such as toilets, bathrooms, shower rooms etc.

This product is considered safe and non-toxic for COSHH purposes. However this product is not classed as Food Safe and is therefore unsuitable for use in areas designated for food production or food preparation.

Note:  Requires a suitable UV light source (Forensic Torch). Not supplied.

For best results, expose to UV light in a darkened environment.

Note:  UV LED based Black lights do not always emit the correct frequencies required to fully activate these powders and emit far too much ‘visible light’ (known as spill) which can over-power the resultant fluorescent glow.  For best performance we recommend using a UV Forensic Pro Torch with these powders.

UK Delivery options

Standard Delivery is a flat rate delivery charge using Royal Mail’s 1st Class Parcel Post.

Special-Delivery (small parcels) and UK Courier (larger/heavier parcels) will provide a swift next day delivery from the day of dispatch and NOT from the date of order.

Note: We do not to offer a specific ‘Next Day Delivery’ option as we cannot realistically guarantee such a service, especially in the current climate.

If you require a recorded / tracked delivery, please select either the Express Delivery or Courier Delivery option at checkout.

EU & International Orders

Owing to the higher cost or processing and shipping EU and International orders we have a £44 Minimum Order Value (MOV) for VAT Exempt Business orders.

However, due to new EU VAT rules, private (B2C) orders have a £135 Minimum Order Value.  Please Note:  Whilst we will not add VAT to your order, VAT will be payable once the goods have arrived in your country.

Business Orders destined for the EU will require a Company Name, VAT Number and EORI Number for customs clearance.

We will only ship EU and International orders at the Buyers risk. Once the goods are handed over to the courier they become the buyers property and responsibility.

For reasons of security and speed, we only ship EU and International orders via Express Courier.  Delivery charges are calculated at checkout.
