Healthcare Cleaning Inspection & Training

A British made Healthcare Hygiene resource kit for Infection Control professionals.  The Hygiene Detective kit contains a selection of UV GERM based training tools through which you can provide clinical Cleaning  Standards Inspection and Training, providing the means to discreetly check and monitor standards of healthcare cleaning in your environment.

These tools also can revealing traces of body fluids and other bio-contamination not visible to the naked eye.

Available in 3 colours:   UV Green, UV Blue and UV Red.

For best results, expose to UV light in a darkened environment.

How to use

Designed for use as a surface hygiene inspection / compliance monitoring tool these products lend themselves equally to training and cross-contamination simulations. These products that will enable you to deposit a fine coating of UV GERM particles (virtually invisible on a white or very light background) on to most surfaces , floors, apparatus and clothing etc  These harmless microscopic UV particles are also easily transferred on contact, ideal for demonstrating cross-contamination.

When illuminated with a UV forensic torch, the particles will fluoresce brightly, revealing their continued presence so identifying areas that have not been properly cleaned.  These products are particle based and suitable for use on most surface types and fabrics and easily removed using normally surface cleaning practice.

Please Note:  UV GERM marker and spray are not suitable for hand-wash training nor are they suitable for outdoor use or in ‘wet’ area such as toilets, bathrooms, shower rooms etc.

These tools also provide Forensic CSI (Cleaning Standards Inspection) for Hospitals and Healthcare – Revealing traces of body fluids and other bio-contamination not visible to the naked eye.

Note:  UV LED based Black lights do not always emit the correct frequencies required to fully activate these powders and emit far too much ‘visible light’ (known as spill) which can over-power the resultant fluorescent glow.  For best performance we recommend using a UV Forensic Pro Torch with these products.

Important information

This product is considered safe and non-toxic for COSHH purposes. However this product is not classed as Food Safe and is therefore unsuitable for use in areas designated for food production or food preparation.

UV GERM Contact Grease has a 24 month shelf life from the date of purchase.

UV GERM Marker and Spray are re-usable and refillable and have a 12 month shelf life from the date of purchase and are not suitable for hand-wash training nor are they suitable for use outdoors or in ‘wet’ area such as toilets, bathrooms, shower rooms etc.

The UV GERM Marker is not suitable for use on overly-textured or rough surfaces, for such surfaces use the UV GERM Spray.  If in doubt test on small area first to and check it is easily removed with normal cleaning. UV GERM particles may be more difficult to remove from some porous / pitted / rough surfaces. For simplicity of use and best results, we recommend using on smooth, non-porous surfaces where possible.

UK Delivery options

Standard Delivery is a flat rate delivery charge using Royal Mail’s 1st Class Parcel Post.

Special-Delivery (small parcels) and UK Courier (larger/heavier parcels) will provide a swift next day delivery from the day of dispatch and NOT from the date of order.

Note: We do not to offer a specific ‘Next Day Delivery’ option as we cannot realistically guarantee such a service, especially in the current climate.

If you require a recorded / tracked delivery, please select either the Express Delivery or Courier Delivery option at checkout.

EU & International Orders

Owing to the higher cost or processing and shipping EU and International orders we have a £44 Minimum Order Value (MOV) for VAT Exempt Business orders.

However, due to new EU VAT rules, private (B2C) orders have a £135 Minimum Order Value.  Please Note:  Whilst we will not add VAT to your order, VAT will be payable once the goods have arrived in your country.

Business Orders destined for the EU will require a Company Name, VAT Number and EORI Number for customs clearance.

We will only ship EU and International orders at the Buyers risk. Once the goods are handed over to the courier they become the buyers property and responsibility.

For reasons of security and speed, we only ship EU and International orders via Express Courier.  Delivery charges are calculated at checkout.
